    COLD HEARTED C3

    Greetings all!,

My '69 L-46 always runs real rough right after starting her up. I was told the car was "cold hearted". About 10-15 minutes after start up, she runs just fine. The carb was rebuilt and the car was tuned & tweeked by a "Corvette Specialist", but the cold heart still prevails. Any suggestions as to how I might eliminate this annoying quirk?

    Thanx again!

    Is your heat riser working?

Another thing to look for is that people have for years blocked the heat crossover passage through the intake, so that performance is better. However, it makes them slow to warm up to smooth running.

You may have to remove the intake to see if the passages are blocked.

Check your heat riser first, as it is easier.

And if your heat riser immediately opens, the passage is probably blocked.
