    hAD MY 62 ON THE RACK FOR THE FIRST TIME AND GOT A GOOD LOOK AT THE FRAME OF THE CAR FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE FRAME LOOKS GOOD BUT THE REAR CROSSMEMBER SEEMS TO BE FLAKING RUST PRETTY GOOD AND MY MECHANIC SUGGEST THAT MAYBE THIS WINTER WE REPLACE WAS WONDERING WERE TO GET THE PIECE AND HOW HARD TO REPLACE AND RERIVET ANY HELP WOULD BE A GREAT HELP HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY.

    Adam, Several of the large Corvette houses such as Corvette Central and Posssibly Paragon stock the '58-'62 rear frame crossmember. Also order the rivet kit as well. The crossmember is rieted to the side rails and seam welded as well (I seem to recall). It's not an impossible job to replace the crossember with the body on but it sure is a lot more difficult Much,much easier with body off. Regards, Jim

      Hey Adam,

      I just recently finished a crossmember on a 1960. I actuallly made some rivet tools and performed the job as close to original as you could get. let me know if yu need some help.
