    Cylinder number sequence

I am installing new dist. cap, rotor, plugs, points, condenser and ign. wires.
Can someone please indicate how the cylinders are numbered so I can be sure that I have the cables correct. Thanks

1357 drivers side, 2468 pass side, front of the car working to the rear. Remember the rotor in the distributor turn counter-clockwise and the firing order is 18436572 on a Chevy.

        Charles -

Here's the correct distributor orientation and wire indexing in the cap with the firing order; the rotor turns clockwise when viewed from above. Photo isn't of a Corvette, but it's the same configuration. Note that the #1 wire is immediately adjacent (clockwise) from the adjusting window.

          Intake C/N 18436572 - a lot of those

I've seen this casting number listed for the intake on a lot of number-matching cars on eBay.

It must have been a very common intake.

Not jack, but a little too many brown bottles.

Yes, but the odd thing is that both big & small blocks use this casting number
