70 Coupe Brake Problems

I have a leaking front caliper and would like to replace the front calipers and install stainless brake hoses all the way around. Who has the best replacement calipers on the market?

I have not worked on Corvette brakes and understand that they are more difficult to bleed. I have seen in past postings a bleeding tool that helps to make the job easier, I think it was from Motive? Can anyone help me to get started with this information?

Why not send your calipers out for rebuild/upgrade. When the sleeves are installed they are good for "life", and the upgrade is undetectable (except for the Logo/ID stamp that is sometimes added.......this can be filled and painted, though).

There are many good shops which refurb Corvette calipers. Some of which are: Vette Brakes, Van Steel, Bair's, Lone Star Caliper. I have always been happy with Van Steel's work.

First, check the casting numbers and dates on your calipers, to determine if they are original to your car. If they are, then remove them, and MARK them (just to keep everybody honest!) before shipping them.

Why would you want stainless brake hoses? There's not one foot in a thousand that can detect any difference in pedal feel.
