I have reviewed the archives on this subject. I am trying to determine correct marking and date codes. I have reviewed the archieves and have found a fair amount of discussion, however, the archives include many statements stated in a quite factual way regarding DC, DG and B codes and various date markings that in the end are simply in conflict with each other. Is this a reference source that can be counted on that someone can refer me to. There is a set of 4 on ebay now that i am trying to decipher...item #250003446880.

Re: 67 rally wheels and dates
I have the same wheels on my 67 # 7471. Between the auction price and the shipping and the restoration of these wheels they are going to very expensive. If your going to Carlisle you can pick them up and save a bundle. FYI I just shipped 2 Rallye rims with NO packing (just the bare wheels) for 10.00 a piece via Fed Ex Ground. They weighed 25 #'s each.- Top

Re: 67 rally wheels and dates
Richard - Wendell Hans, Jr. has written several excellent articles for The Corvette Restorer on rallye wheels. I know one of the articles had a listing of folks who responded to him that included S/N, wheel code and date information. This information might help in determining which wheel code(s) are mostly likely to have come on your particular car
As far as the wheels on eBay are concerned information on the size of the DC stamping and the manufacturer's production date stamping on the inside of the wheel would be important about making a decision as to the applicability of these specific wheels to your car.
BTW, DC wheels has other applications aside of the Corvette.

Re: 67 rally wheels and dates
Joel - It's my understanding that the smaller DC wheels were manufactured later that the 1967 production year; so I would not expect to find the smaller DC wheels as a typical factory production item on a 1967 car. Pete- Top

Re: 67 rally wheels and dates
George - Good reference photo/material on the wheel code stamp. You'll note the large DC stamped wheel has only the DC stamping by the valve stem hole whereas the smalled DC stamped wheel has additional information stamped in the valve stem hole area which is typical of later then 1967 manufactured wheels. See Wendell Hans' Corvette Restorer article for additional information on wheel stampings. Pete- Top
