    68-69 TIM&JG Rev 4

I see that the 4th edition on the 70-72 TIM&JG is out and was wondering if anyone knows when the lastest and greatest version of the 68-69 one will be released?

    Greg,
On what are you basing the statement that the 4th edition of the 1970-72 manual is out?
I can assure you that it is NOT.

Well I didn't think any new revisions were to be released until after the National Convention but I found this in the on-line store and was wondering how long untill the 68-69 one is released.

      1968-69 3rd Edition ........................ $30
      1970-72 NEW 4th Edition .................... $30
      1973-74 2nd Edition ........................ $30
      1975-77 2nd Edition ........................ $30
      1978-79 3rd Edition ........................ $30
      1980-82 3rd Edition ........................ $30

      Maybe it's a typo.

Greg, you are right -- the 1970-72 TIM&JG is not to be released until after convention.

The Cincinnati store has been out of the old version of that manual since before the Florida Regional. The orders they have taken for the new manual are on "back order" until then. This way they have some idea of the demand for the new one, and they can better size the order for the print run after the convention. Also if they were selling the old one right up to the time the new one was available those folks who just got the old one would be less than happy to find they had an outdated manual weeks later.

I doubt there will be a new 1968-69 anytime soon. There will have to be a number of up-dates before a business case can be made for a new manual. The 1970-72 was last re-written in 1993 -- just to give you some idea of the time frame involved. That may be longer than it should have been, but a number of factors were responsible.
