    Need Advice on Fiberglass Repair

I need some help / advice on removing flairs from my 65. I'm providing a link to the tread I started on Corvette Forum to keep from re-typing and attaching pictures. Fiberglass repair is my weak area. Thanks for any input you can provide.

On another note, I have just about given up on Corvette Forum for any quality input on any question. I have been around C-2 / C-3 Vettes for over 20 years now and just bang my head on some of the questions over there. If I hear one more "why does my car run hot (beacuse your cooling system / timing is a POS)" or "what size tires you running, I want 17"er's under my ride" I will blow a head gasket.

    Ok, I feel better now.

I would use the surround and two new front and rear fender panels with the necessary bonding strips. This will be your best repair.

Thanks for the responce Wayne. I checked on some prices and I guess about $1100 for the lower panels. I think I paid about $200-250 for the upper surround panels (one has a couple minor cracks). So about 1/3 the cost of a Jigged front end.

Where would you make the cut or splice at the windshield area or would you?

Ya know, I just had set down with my front end over a cup of coffee. By the time I replace the surronds x2, lower fender x2, forward fender x2, bonding strips x2 that equals about 95% of the fiberglass.

I think I need me one of those Wayne's World jigged up front ends.

It only cost 100% more to go First Class.

Yep, if you have to do both sides. This is probably the way to go.
