                          An easy way to check if the picture is the right size before posting is to open Windows Explorer, find the picture file you want to post, right-click it to Open With ... and select Internet Explorer.

                          Internet Explorer will open that picture and you can see how big it is in the browser.

                          Now your picture-hosting site may change sizes on you, but typically they don't.
