    tanker sending unit

    Does anyone know if the fuel gauge sending unit on the 65 big tank car is the same as on the standard tank car? Thanks in advance.

      -------Neil,,,Big-tank sending unit is not the same part# and will not interchange. One good place to shop for a correct one would be Long Island Corvette as Rich has several tankers and, I believe has restored them all. Hope this helps........Bill S

          It was GM #5642798 and it was discontinued in July, 1983.
