Oil pressure gauge

Hello, I have just purchased a 1969 Corvette 427 I took the center gauge cluster down only to discover that the Oil gauge is not mechanical it's eletrical gauge but I can't find any wires leading to the gauge. Any help on this subject or diagram would be GREAT!!!!

You apparently do not have the correct oil pressure guage for your 1969 if it is electric. The first C-3 with an electric oil guage was, I believe, 1975.

The original oil pressure gauge in your 1969 Corvette was mechanical. If an electrical gauge has been installed, it was done after the car was built. Your 427 originally had a metal oil line from the back of the cylinder case (on the driver's side) to a bracket attached to the rearmost exhaust manifold bolt. A fitting at the bracket changed the material of the line to plastic -- which went through a grommet to the back of the gauge.

I believe these pieces are available in reproduction from Paragon, and maybe other Corvette parts vendors. A drawing(s) of the installation of these parts is available in the 1969 Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) available from the NCRS store -- click on the radio button at the top of this page.
