Re: 1" white wall radial tires for C-2
I'll be needing new tires on my '63 and these tires look to be just the ticket. What size would you recommend? I'd like to go with the widest tire available but not so wide as to intefere with tight-turn steering.
Maybe the P235/70 R15??
Would appreciate any advice ...

235/70's are WAY too big for a midyear; anything larger than 205/75-15 on a 6" rim risks fiberglass damage, although many report that 215/70's on a 6" rim will clear with some rubbing at full lock/jounce like driveway entries.- Top

Re: 1" white wall radial tires for C-2
Stopped in at Sears yesterday and saw some Michelin "WeatherWise" whitewalls on sale: $404 for a set of 215/70x15. But, I have no idea whether they are good tires or not (smoothness of the ride is my criteria these days).- Top

Re: 1" white wall radial tires for C-2
Goodyear has two different tires that might fit the bill (Integrity and Regatta). I have been looking at them for my 67. The WW is 3/4" wide, which is very nice if you're looking to come close to the 5/8" WW NCRS spec. Both tires come in 205's and 215's. The Regatta is the beefiest of the two tires and appears to have a bit more performance. Now, the bad news. Both tires have almost the same sidewall construction. The design of the sidewall has a pattern in it instead of the smooth sidewall as we are accustomed to seeing on the C2s.- Top
