    post curing

I'm currently doing body work on my 66 coupe. I'm told you should post cure after the gel coat has been applied. Does anyone know what temp and how long the car should be cooked? Thanks, Peter

I'd defer to manufacturer directions, but 120 degrees for 24 hours is spec'd on some products I've used. Otherwise it is 7 days at "room temp" It also depends on how hot the gel coat was applied, more or less catalyst will also effect cure time.

      Peter,

Are you going to paint your car Trophy Blue.....if so, I'd be very interested in what products your use and how it all turns out. Could you post results as you move along the trail...it would be much appreciated.
