Re: shroud repair 67 bb
I would rough sand the areas to be bonded with some 40 or 80 grit. Go to a hardware store and get some thick black two part epoxy. Mix it up and rub it to both surfaces. Study the parts closely and make sure you bond it just the way it originally was. Any case, slap that epoxy in there and put a spring loaded clamp on it. It is up to you how you clean it up. Originally, sometimes you could see glue squeezed out from the joint. Sometime, you couldn't see any glue squeezed out. I believe they fail for a couple reasons. 1)Old plastic and glue finally gives out. 2) Some one didn't use enough glue. 3) Clamped so hard they squeezed all the glue out. Don't do that last one. If you can't find any glue, let me know and I will send you some. You'll have to pay me back though Looks just like the original stuff in my opinion. Terry- Top

Re: shroud repair 67 bb
Mine cracked in a curved area at the side of the shroud. I bought the shroud brand new from GM about 25 years ago. I did the same repair as listed above, but I fashoned a stainless brace that fit on the inside of the shroud and rivited it to the shroud to reinforce the crack. I epoxied the crack and the shroud to the stainless. I then drilled out the rivits and patched the holes leaving the stainless epoxied in place for reinforcing. You can not see the repair.
Good luck
