    What The Heck Is That?

Does your non-power window midyear Corvette have this dimple between the door hinges, or not? Regardless, where was your Corvette's body assembled? Reference the following:

63 has to be St. Louis.

i have a 1967 from st louis. In that dimple is a button that when the door opens the interior lights come on and when closed they go off just like in your refridgerator. Interior lights include the interior dome light and an under panel light on each side.

                        Richard,

Does your car have power windows? Are you SURE that it's a StLouis body? What does your trim tag read for "body number"?

no power windows. "S" n the vin number for assembly, "S" is also leading charater in body number on the dody number plate.

Thanks Richard. Yup, the trim tag says it'a StLoo body. The "S" in the VIN, though, is common to ALL corvettes of that period.

                              Could you check

Hi guys with the dimple and AO body, could you look at your door revits, at the front top edge of the door where the small dog leg weather strip is, just below the door main weather strip are the revits and see if they are pop type or large round head type, AO body seem to have the large one. Thanks Phil 8063
