'63E or '63

I would like to know what sequence number makes it require a early outside mirror and side emblems. I have a '63 with the early gas cover and I need to replace the mentioned parts but so much has been changed in its pervious life that I do not know if what it has now is correct. The car seqence no. 6234. It is a driver but I would like to keep it original on the outside. Thanks Roger

Roger, The outside mirror changed from the long base at approx. vin# 11,000. The side emblems , I believe,started to change a little before your vin#. I think your car could have either one, but I am not real sure.

My SWC 10943 (built 3/16) has a short base mirror (I'm the original owner.) There was a thread on the emblems about a week ago (check archives), and as I recall, the change to the "late" emblems occurred very early in production.
