        Roy-----

For a FACTORY-TYPE paint job, I would say the cost would be in the $7,000 to $10,000 range.

bet i've got fewer years under my belt. 57's are my favorite and the older i get, the less i care about the 58 and ups.i have, in my poissession, under lock and key(in a hermetically sealed mayonase jar), an accessory i doubt you have in the copper 55. a Massengill bag for the passenger seat occupant.like yer 56 convert rain sensor, moisture activates it. regards, mike

Three years ago my 67 got a new paint job from a vary GOOD painter freind for 2k and the 55 again last year for 3K, because coming home from NCRS Park City National meet we were keyed in Nevada while playing the slots. He also did the first paint job for 1500.
He is a no body ,having no big name title, just a good painter and friend here in our small town. Could be he's not a Corvette shop.

I've seen better painted Corvettes but any one seeing mine think they are 8K paint jobs.

Roy, I have this thing I picked up at a swap meet. Came in an old GM accessory box. Sorry you have not run across one yet Any how, you sort of bolt it under the dash and when the car needs to be repainted it senses it. Next morning, you wake up and the car is painted. Of course you have to program in the color but that isn't hard, just a couple of buttons. Also, you have a choice of back yard paint job, average paint job and super show paint job! I have mine set on average paint job. I think it is about to go off too. Good luch finding one, Terry
