Hello all,
I have been doing a little research recently into the stickers usually attached to the rear of the Right valve covers on 1970 to 1972 motors, specifically small blocks. These stickers were paper, yellow, and attached with a poor adhesive that allowed them to peel off easily with heat and exposure.
If possible, I would like to collect copies, photos and examples of original stickers like these. If you have such a sticker, I would appreciate a photocopy (if off the car), a photo or some other reproduction of it. In addition, I would like to know which motor you have. Also, if some of you have information on these stickers and what the numbers on them mean, I would appreciate that. And yes, I have already talked to Terry about them.
Feel free to e-mail me with question or specifics, and to obtain my snail-mail address. If all goes well and I am able to collect enough samples, I hope to consider reproducing these in an inexpensive manner, and of course anyone who sends me info would get a new sticker for free. I am NOT in this for money, but rather to restore the 71 of mine and 72 of a friend as correctly as possible.
Thanks for your assistance in this matter,
