    Joe------

It's called "medium saddle metallic". It's a 1975-only color. If original to the car, the paint code on the trim tag should be "67".

      Thanks Joe

I took a quick look at the car..and it looked very original..but didn't have time to get all the specifics. 4-Spd if I recall...most likely original engine etc..

Brown doesn't sound good but the 74 I had was beautiful..and actually I like this bronze color even better.

As I recall 75 convertibles were pretty low production.

          Joe,

Yes I agree with Joe Lucia, Medium Saddle Metallic. Probably has the saddle leather interior just like my 75 that I had for 18 years until my daughter turned 16.

I don't think that is the correct rear end. IIRC individual corvette letters in little pockets. Hard to replace if rear-ended like mine was.

The '75 bumper that accepted the individual letters was discontinued many years ago, and replaced by the '76-77 sytle that is on the car in the photo. And that bumper was discontinued at least 10 years ago

I would have to try and find a picture of my old brown 74..can't remember what the rear bumper or Corvette letters looked like and don't know if they changed for 75. I sold the car to my wifes brother who was in West Point at the time.

He ran it into a bridge. He was okay..end of the car!

                Joe-----

1974 originally used a "split" rear bumper cover with a "seam" in the middle. Individual letters were used to spell out C-O-R-V-E-T-T-E.

For 1975 the bumper became a one-piece unit and the very gauche seam was eliminated. The same individual letters as used for 1974 were again used to spell out Corvette.

I believe that both the 74 and 75 bumper covers had slight indentions for each individual letter.

Little known fact: while the rear bumper covers for 1974 or 1975 were very similar (except for the center seam), the under-cover, energy absorbing design of the bumpers was completely different.

                  Hey, Joe.

The 74" rear bumper was a two piece and the 75" was a one piece
                  with the letter spacing C O R V E T T E .

                    The brown 74

Joe..I found a picture of the old brown 74.

It brings back some memories I had forgotten.

#1... I traded in a beautiful 1976 or so Black/Silver Pontiac Grand Prix

#2... I had forgotten I had the hardtop

#3... When I bought the car and got it home I found a role of silver dollars stuck in the battery compartment.. still have them.

#4... you can see the seam in the rear bumper

I think thats my old red 63 sitting in front of it...and both cars sitting in front of my old one car carport!

Thinking back..they seem like simpler days..even bringing up 4 kids at the time!
