I need some adult supervision in my quest for a Non DOT tire for my spare. I understand that the repops will not fit in the tire tub. Call me a Candy Azz if you like, but I do prefer the 1" whitewall.
Besides the lack of the DOT number, what other visual characteristics are judged to determine the original tire? The JG mentions a "Load range B" rating. I assume this phrase doesn't appear on originals.
I'm told the repops can be "doctored" to appear as originals. I just don't want to get hosed paying a premium for something like that.
Appreciate the help as always..
