Re: Preferred suppliers for C2 parts & etc.
Robert, having a single supplier of all C2 parts is probably not the thing to do. Some suppliers have areas where they are better than the competition. Search the archives and you will see strong opinions for interiors, gas tanks, spray paint, etc. I use about 7 suppliers depending on the item.
If you must have just one, let's see you else votes for Paragon.
Why not gather catalogs from Quanta, Paragon, Corvette America, LIC, Chicago Corvette, etc, etc, etc.
When you need a component, post a question here on the particular item for opinions.

Re: Preferred suppliers for C2 parts & etc.
I agree on variety and while I do use other vendors (Al knoch for interiors, DeWitts for cooling for example) I do like to concentrate a majority of business on a preferred vendor for optimal discounts, relationship, etc. I am curious on those (up to date) "strong opinions" (like paragon for example!).
Thank you for you input!- Top

If you have to choose just one, use LOng Island Corvette Supplies for mid year parts. Paragon is outstanding-but do not have some of the parts that Long Island has. Same goes for Corvette Central-great parts, great customer service. I use them all depending on what I need and who has it in stock.- Top

Re: Preferred suppliers for C2 parts & etc.
Personally I think Long Island lacks any customer service. Below is a copy of my post about two month ago.
For the last two years I have been restoring my 1966 couple and have spent a lot of money with Richard at Long Island Corvette. I have also read several post in this forum where Richard can be very obnoxious, which I have always taken the remarks with a grain of salt until today. For no apparent reason today Richard flew off the handle with me and I have never been treated or spoke to like that from a business. Maybe he had a fight with his significant other or something, however, I work to hard for my money to be treated like that. LIC just lost a customer and my respect.
I know many on the forum have supported Richard and his triages, however life is to short for me.- Top

Don,
Why call? It says on their packing list no need to call, just send the part back with an explaination. I have never had an issue. Very liberal return policy.
LIC usually has it in stock and sends an email when it is in transit. I have never called them, just fax orders and email.
Paragon and Corvette Central are also good.
My 2 cents

I agree Long Island Corvette has always been great to deal with and has a good variety of quality items for the midyear. Eckler's doesn't have anything I would buy. Jim Weeks - Member #2978- Top

They have the parts
in stock, if they have more than five items missing from their catalog, that would be a lot, all the others buy from them, Corvette Central has nothing in stock, everytime I order 10 items I get three or four, for my 53-62 cars, I get my 63-67 from LICS. Phil 8063- Top
