Quanta System 5 Paint Recoat Time?

I was painting a crossmember with Quanta System 5 Frame and Chassis Medium Black Paint and noticed some cracking after applying a second coat.
The first coat went on very good and I should of left well enough alone. I had waited about 2 hours before applying the second coat. I have used Quanta Semi Gloss Black before on control arms and had excellent results. I think I recoated the control arms after only 15 minutes but I'm not sure that was several years ago. Did I wait to long to recoat?? The quart cans do not have any drying or recoat instructions on them. How long should I wait before sanding the cracks out and trying again or should I remove all of the paint and start all over?

    Gary------

I have had this problem with Quata paints of late. It used to be that you could recoat at just about any time. Now, the formulations have changed, probably heavily influenced by air quality regulations. So, like many other paints currently available, the re-coat time is "within 1 hour or after 24 hours".
