What are the oldest 63,64,65 mid years out there that GM sold to the public. I have seen 1963 #13 and 1964 #15. I assume that first few were engineering and promotional cars. What were the first VIN's sold to the public?

A few early Canadian deliveries
Gene -- GM Canada records show '63 Red/490 (ie. other than black vinyl) convertible # 00014 produced 8-20, shipped next day; shipping order # 199001 (the first order in the numbers block assigned to Canada).
Another early one is 1966 Red/red coupe VIN 00006 Shipped 01 Sept.
I know that Lynndale blue '67 coupe # 00005 was a GM promotional car up here, ended up being sold by a Vancouver B.C. dealer. A friend owned this car for a short time, in Calgary Alberta.- Top

Saw 67 #00005 at Knoxville, Spring '82
and it looked restored then, at least compared to how I remembered the car in 1976/77.
Interesting build date on the trim tag: K13 (July 13th for a S.Louis body). So the body (if not the entire car) existed for about 16 days prior to the end of 1966 production.
Other trim tag data: Style: 67 437, Trim: 418AA; Body: S1; Paint: 977AA
It had C60, L36, 4-sp.- Top
