Re: C3 tank sticker
I can't tell you a thing about pictures -- I haven't figured that out myself -- but I can tell you there is no VIN or other number on 1970 tank stickers which will tie them to the specific car once they are removed from the car. There is a hand written number which corresponds to the job number on the car, but those numbers are repeated every 500 jobs.
VIN numbers and key numbers on the tank sheet started sometime around mid-1971 production.Terry- Top

Re: C3 tank sticker
You put a double http: in front of the link, and the url requires that the viewer 'logs in'
There's probably directions on the site that instructs users what URL to copy in order to share the photos.

Re: C3 tank sticker
The VIN# appears on the "CORVETTE ORDER PAGE 7" Dealer's copy. This form looks much like a tank sticker "CORVETTE ORDER COPY" but is slightly larger and uses much of the same format. Additionally, the engine date code, diff date code, Carb code, transmission date code, key codes and actual date of final production as well as the total number of options appear on this sheet.
All of this information was collected as the car was assembled and then typed onto this sheet.
This sheet was then sent to the dealer for his records, in case of a warranty repair or replacement of lost keys etc.- Top
