Hi all,
I have the correct wires hooked to my sending unit and ground for the gas tank. I had all the gauges rebuilt and then checked by a third party before installing them. I have the wires to the instrument cluster in according to how I marked them when I took them off and according to the AIM. The sending unit is new.
I have about three gallons of gas in the tank. When the ignition switch is in the on position, the needle pegs at full! When the engine is running, it is pegged at full. Whe I crank it, it goes all the way down to zero, and I am not sure it is even registering the three gallons.
I have checked and double-checked the wiring on the gauges, and have even switched the two pink wires between the temp gauge and the gas gauge, but this does nothing. I am afraid to try reversing the wires on the gas gauge itself.
Any ideas on what the problem is or what to do to fix it?
Thanks,
Bob
