I am hoping there is a simple trick I am missing on installing the lower inside windsheild trim on a 67 convertible.
I have recently replaced the windshield and have all the exterior trim back in place but I am not being successful getting the lower inside trim installed. The problem seems to be the clearance between the dash pads and the attaching clips is insufficent to allow the trim to push into place. I have tried twisting, sliding and shoehorning but there appears simply not enough clearance.
The dash/glove box and pads were removed when I orginally removed the trim. I am tring to avoid again removing the dash and dash pads or putting small notches in the bottom of the trim at the clips. Has anyone else encoutered and solved this problem?
