Jon, I Really Don't Think I Can "Help" You...
...but I will share my personal thoughts on the subject. I am not aware of any such terminology as '62 "Washer Delete". It was specified as standard equipment for every '61 & '62 Corvette produced. I have never seen one without this standard equipment, but I certainly have only seen a fraction of the 61/62 production run.
I won't go into the possible reasons why your car does not display washers and I would never suggest you should install them if you are convinced the car was delivered that way. Wish I could have been in Vancouver to enjoy looking at your car - and maybe learning something...
What I would mention is that what you are bumping up against is the NCRS Judging Standard that has been in place since 1974. In short, I feel pretty confident that standard won't be changing anytime soon to accomodate peculiar situations that arise from time to time. Bottom line - if your car came that way, it is still not standard production. If it did come that way, you have the burden of proof to absolutely convince the judges that is the case. And as you mention, the PV judging would not work to your advantage without such proof. On the other hand, achieving a Top Flight without that equipment should not be too difficult as you have just demonstrated.- Top

Re: HELP!!! 1962 washer delete?!?!
i would get someone, like yer neighbor, dennis clark, to examine the front clip of the 62 to evaluate whether or not the current front clip is that which left st louis in 61/62. if the inspection reveals that the current clip is of questionable originbality(which i suspect), then get out the drill and have at it at on the top surround(install complete windshield washer system.) as Dinnis noted, no 61/62's that he or i've judged lacked the system.mike- Top
