pictures of 67 427 dipstick and tube

    Hi:
Does anyone have a picture they could send me showing the proper dipstick and tube configuration for a 67 427? I am most interested in the tube configuration (i.e. is it straight, or curved at top, or curved at bottom). Also, I am interested in the dipstick configuration? Is the rounded pull portion of the dipstick flattened out? I've seen 67 L71 promo photos showing the dispstick flattened. Is this correct? The NCRS manual only discusses the salmon tip, and the lack of depression. Thanks so much!

The tube is straight at the top and goes straight into the block.

Thanks for the pictures! So what I need to look for is a totally straight dipstick tube?

There is a slight bend in the tube about 2-3 inches from the pan end. Can't be more than 5 degrees...... Sorry I don't have a photo or length.....
There is also a tab welded on near the top that attaches to a manifold bolt. You can see that in the photos.

          Steve,

Is the red tip correct for 427 in 67? The tip on the stick in my 66 is almost a pink, or salmon color, not red. Is 67 a different part number or is mine faded?

The tip is really not as red as the photo... its more along the pink lines. Yours is fine

              Steve:
Thanks for the clarification. I now understand the configuration of the dipstick tube!
