    75 Convertible Body Drop

The time is here to drop the body on the chassis. Does anyone know if the radiator and its support need to be attached to the body or the frame prior to the drop? I have a photo from the factory showing the shroud around the fan but I dont see the radiator or support attached to the frame. The photo isn't really clear but it appears the radiator might be attached to the body as it is being dropped. Any other advice would be helpful too.

I've checked the archives but there were so many close hits that it is taking forever to find the answers. Noland Adams book was some help but led me astray a few times with my C3. No disrespect to Noland, his body dolly dimensions were a great foundation for my C3, only required a few modifications.

Thanks to all for your input and advice.

You should be able to drop the body with or without the support attached to the body...not the frame. I'd leave it off until you get the body on the frame. It gives you more "working" room around the engine during the drop.
Leave the fan off. Install the body...then the support...then the radiator.. then the shroud and finally the fan.

I tie the shroud back to the engine as it is had to get in later. I have the radiator support in as this is one of my five lifting points.I put the radiator in later. I made that big harness that everone sells that is way to long into four hooks about 30" long with a loop sewed on the end I cut off. Two of them slip on a pipe with collars and the chain fall in the middle. The pipes are above the sill plates and are adjusted to put about 100#s on the chain fall on the radiator support.
I have I beams in the ceiling for the chain falls so it is a one man job.
