C3: 69 windshield wiper washer tube attachment

Hi all,

My right windshield washer tube is missing on my windshield wiper. I noticed in the AIM that they are attached with some sort of bracket and a e-clib to the wiper (and the tube is attached with an e-clip to the wiper mount.

Is someone selling the e-clips needed to attached the tube to the wiper and is there some sort of rebuild/repair kit for the bracket holding the tube on the wiper since mine is broken? Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Could anyone post a picture of the right tube attachment points (email to rob@itcap.nl)?

The e-clips (as you call them) are available in reproduction from Paragon. I'm not sure about the tube or the bracket though. I also doubt there are "right" attachment points. I've seen them all over the arm on otherwise very original cars. I don't have the AIM with me, but it might show at least the starting point for the clip locations.

If you have the original clip on the left side they are the same shape and attached to the same rivet. Paragon has the tubes and plastic clips but not the metal clip that the tube solders to. If you need help finding an arm E-mail me.

Hi Lyle,

I still have the wiper and after carefull studing I recon the bracket is still usable and the tube will hold once it is soldered back in place on the bracket.

The clips are on order now together with a new wiper washer hose set! Hopefully in a month I got it all fitted in place...

The bracket in your picture needs to be turned to match the metal line it was not straight with the arm originally. It should just pivot on the rivet but you may want to add some lube to the area to make it turns easy.
