my 57 floor carpet is begining to fade even though I keep it out of the sun as much as possible, is there any product or tech. that can restore some of the red/orange color, I hate to replace it there is not a tear in it thanks

You can restore the color with spray-on vinyl dye, but the carpet nap will not be as soft. The dye dries and makes it stiffer than when new. This may not be what you want, but it maybe better than the alternative.

I regularly touch up black carpet with flat black spray paint. It does not have the acrilics to make it stiff. I sprayine you can it and rub it in with my gloved hand. Works great. I imagine you could have the red mixed in flat as well.Comment

I see I mis typed the previous. Dye is paint! I use flat black Krylon or sPRUCE flat black. Any other color I get my Auto Paint store to mix up for me and put in a spray bomb. Again, flat-no acrilics sp? to make it stiff. Spray it on and rub it in with a latex gloved hand. Obviously mask off or remove parts not to be sprayed.Comment
