    New/Old Vette ???

I had my 60 Corvette at the Goodguys Pacific Northwest Nationals in Puyallup, Washington last weekend and I saw a most unusual Corvette there. I was wondering if anyone had heard of this car or knew anything about it.
It was what looked like a C5 with a 1961 or 62 front and rear end on it. It was red with custom wheels. I did not get close enough to see the licence plate so I don't know where it was from. It looked really well done!! It was of really high quality.
I heard a few rumours at the show that it was a one-off prototype from the same company that had done the 1953/2003 white model that I have seen pictures of. I did not get a chance to get a picture of it, I just saw it drive by quickly. Has anyone heard of this car?

Last year I saw a similar commuter Corvette in Huntington Beach, either while I was going to work or returning home on Pacific Coast Highway. In my case, it was a C5 that looked like a C1. Nicely done, too.

Did it look something like this one? It was in Scottsdale in May. I spoke with the owner who said the car was built by Boeing!? He bought it at BJs. It had a C5 chassis, LS1 and had historical plates!??

Whatzzit??? It reminds me of that old Johnny Cash song "One Piece At a Time"!!
It's a 62-63......04, 05 automobile. Just another case where imitation is not necessarily the sincerest form of flattery! Somebody please put a bullet in the engine block and put it out of its misery.

          C5 1953-1954 Style also exists Qty = 150+

Someone in MI is converting C5s - with 1953 style front and rears. They don't look as good to me as the one pictured here, but they are not terrible either.

I was told by the driver of the prototype (Console number = 000) that "they" have done over 150 of them in this way. I once knew who they were, but I have forgotten.

            Isn't somebody doing a 53 look-alike but on a C5 or C6 setup? I know I saw photos but I don't know if it is a one of a kind.

                  Gary -

Yes, that's the "commemorative" edition, converted in Auburn Hills, Michigan by Advanced Automotive Technologies (www.aatcars.com), about ten miles from me. You give them your C5 and a $30K check and two weeks later you have a C5 that looks like a '53. More info on their website.
