3M makes a product which is used by most automotive glaziers. I believe it is called "Windshield Sealant" or "Windshield Adhesive". Regardless, it is black, comes in a standard tube for a caulking gun, and should be available at most auto parts stores or autobody supply stores. It is urethane based, rather expensive at (approx) $15.00/tube, and skins over quickly. A less expensive and slower drying alternative would be a standard urethane based roofing caulk found at Home Depot/Lowe's/etc. for about $6.00/tube.
