Sorry to hear of your mis-fortune, Roy. Hope its not anything more serious.

Hmmm, wait a minute If you have to replace the block you can get one of those "original" restamped blocks with your correct vin and codes

Then everyone will stop busting on your 12345etc. stamping! hahahaha

          Roy------

It's 111 here in Fremont! Usually, we're about 20 degrees cooler than out in the valley. These kinds of temps are typical of Death Valley in the summer.

              114 in Sonora,CA, this weekend

To cool off I took the 67 out for a drive with the Vintage Air blasting.
Got back to the garage, and with the mickey mouse swamp cooler blasting, it was 92 and swampy. No way to do any project in the garage at that temperature.

Darn heat wave, I have things to do.

So, I cleaned up the basement office, stays at at nice 75.

Probably a record for Sonora, must be ozone depletion or global warming caused by vintage cars. Just trying to get you started, Duke.

I don't feel the engine is in no real trouble , but the idea of a new engine going Restamp could take care of the engine pad I showed you guys or really increase the value installing a BB 427-435hp (it has the BB hood already) , ether way I could pass NCRS Judging and be %100 original , if many others can do it so can I and then have a Maga-dollar 67 Corvette that every one will wont ,gee! Even buy a new trim code plate and change the interior to saddle that I like more then black they re pop them . Thanks guys you've given me something to think about then I can finally take it to NCRS and not feel bad and get a top flight. You guys always have great ideas- SWEAT!!

Perish the thought, the good Dr. Mikie has Miller Lite, not the "beast" in his refrigerator. What is this world coming to?????

Re: 114 in Sonora,CA, this weekend

I was only about 80 in Redondo Beach yesterday, and we had an early afternoon thundershower that cooled things off five degrees for awhile.

Expect the state legislature to introduce a bill proposing emission testing every six months on vintage cars back to 1900.
