    Yes, GM did make manual locking hubs in '72 - I have an original '72 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive Suburban with them - I use it to pull my '69 race Corvette (vintage tow for vintage racing!).

          As an Orig Owner of a 72 Yellow Coupe..WOW

          Thanks for sharing such a great pic and piece of history!!! As an original owner of a Sunflower Yellow Coupe, it was fun to see one loaded for delivery. I know its not mine, because I was driving mine in June of 72, (Nov. 71 Build Date).... but what trip to see the car like that!!!!!
