I am rebuilding a 7042203 Quadrajet, and I found the power piston seal doesn't seat tightly
in the throttle body casting, so that the power piston pops out. I've found replacement
power piston springs from Edelbrock in assorted spring tensions, but no replacement
power piston or piston seals. Anyone know where I can get a new seal?
just hold it down and "stake" around it gently with a small center punch or chisel. i do this all the time with loose retainers. it is not a seal just a assy retainer. the very early ones used a metal spring clip and can be found on very early Qjets if you care to search around
