Ignition shielding

Hi All

Can someone tell me if the ignition shielding for a 63 Vette is the same for 62.I personally don't think so but I have a chance to buy it cheap and I wanted to find out.

I think the R/H horizontal one piece shield is a carry over from the 62 year. This was only used on early 63 and I'm not sure when the change to the two piece horizontal on that side took place. I don't believe any other shielding is the same.

If you go to the Long Island Corvette site you can find a drawing and description of the 63 sheilding. If you have a photo of the 62 you can compare it. I think you will find they are very different.

Thanks guys for your responses. I did not think I would be so lucky to get a cheap shielding even though it was for a 63. I'll just buy the one specified for 62.
