I had my 66 convertible windshield replaced and it too leaks. Exactly which RTV sealant should I use to correct the leak and where should it be placed? When I take the stainless trim off, should the sealant be on the upper side of the new window gasket between the gasket and the windshield or should I pull up the lower lip of the gasket and put some sealant between the gasket and the metal windshield frame? Thanks, Gary

Shop manual is clear. Says to make a bead fully surrounding the entire gasket as it sits in the windshield frame. Understand, when you're driving and rain hits the glass, airflow forces it up, to the side, and off the hood to the bottom. So, close up 'da whole sucka'....- Top
