    Shock paint

    Im looking for shock paint for 1964 - 1967 corvettes I just ran out of my supply from LI corvette, anyone know a hardware store brand / color (rattle can)....Thanks in advance John

      John,

      I ran out of LIC shock paint also. I don't have the actual color number, but Pep Boys has a big selection of dupli-color spray paints, and one was very close. Hope you get a more specific answer from someone...

          You can get close to the original color (assuming that there was just one original shade of gray/blue paint used over the years which I seriously doubt) from hardware/auto parts store inventory. The real problem is getting one that is the same with respect to degree of gloss. Most of those available are WAY too glossy, assuming that detail matters to you.
