Brake light Sw. (white if 66) "N" = Negative?
Thanks Joe. I should have typed more stuff before. It's shown as 20 guage "N" at the brake light switch (opposite of the orange one). Lots of other bulbs, and door open light swith, give the same indication on the diagram. Probably equals "Negative", but the other codes are all colors.
I also see "T" for the horn, which I assume is Teal.
Thanks

The brake switch wire is White so the N is for Neutral. The Horn wire is Tan.- Top

Sorry Tom, for the lame joke. You are right about the "N" signifying "negative", and "T" does, indeed, mean "tan".
Wires are normally coded as either light or dark shades of such "manly" hues as, red, white, blue, yellow, green, tan, black, pink(!), etc. More feminine nomenclature, such as "taupe", "mauve", "teal", "navajowhite", "kelly green", "lavender", etc. are not used (yet?).
God help us when women (or gay men) begin writing wiring schematics!

Or "Natural"
See 1963 Corvette shop manual, Electrical body and chassis 12-2, Fig 2 (labels color of wires going to stoplight switch). Also, 1963 Corvette wiring diagrams use "N" color code in several places. This usage seems to have disappeared by 1965.
Same thing in plastic speedo-driven gears; the 19-tooth 3860342 is called "natural", meaning off-white, IMO.- Top
