1961 License light Socket

I am in the process of re-wiring the rear lamps on my 61. The lectric limited harness does not include a socket for the license plate light and the car had no rear harness. Does anyone no of a functional replacement or do I need to buy a used harness and cut off the socket. Thanks,Gary

Hi Gary

It's been awhile but when I bought my wiring harness from lectric limited for my 62, i'm pretty sure it did not include that socket. If i'm not mistaken, they gave me the wire and the little end you have to solder on.Thats just the way it is.You need to use your old socket.

In the corvette central book, page 141.They have a replacement socket for the license plate lamp. part number 661069 $10.70 Worth a try.
