    Brakes again

With the Motive bleeded instaled I have poor flow at the right rear. I removed the hose and the flow is still poor. What part should I change? The right rear also heats up when driving and I can smell the pads. I installed a new hose but with poor flow with the hose removed it did not help. The left rear has no problem. I'm thinking about changing the rear crossover line. This problem is on my 73 beater.

Don't ever use the word "Beater" when referencing Corvettes. I start flashing back to my 1965 Saab 96 days

Sounds like you just might have a pinch in the crossover line OR you have a blockage at the block connection.

Good luck with your "Heart Beater of America"

      Re: Please Lyle

For Lyle, a 73 "beater" is one that misses a Duntov by 3 points.

I'd also wonder if there is a piece of dirt or rust stuck in that brass junction where the front-to-rear line meets the rear crossover line.

Re: Oh, he's one of "those"

Yep, that's the block I refered to Pat.......Just could be if the lines have/had any kind of corrosion going on.

Of course my 68 New York State "Beater" is totally rust free too

My BE**** Driver would be perfect NCRS on what you can see on the outside of the engine but would take on most street small blocks and hold its own. The rest is ratty but the top is never up it's driven every day and is parked close to the supermarket door and if hit by a little old lady getting out of her caddy I just say that allright no problem. No need to get eveyone in the areas picture and hire a lawayer to get a total repaint. If driven to a chapter meet 850 miles away it might get a Top Flight but the two tone paint would need to be sprayed over with some lacquer to match the upper color as it is bad enough to not set off any alarms.

            Just yankin' your chain, Lyle.

I've got a picture I hope to take along to Carlisle and show you. I told you about it a few years back, and you about smacked me when I told you I had lost it. I've since found it, and I'll bring it along.

            Now I've got you guessing.
