    San Antonio Convention

Got back last night from towing my wife's 88 35th Anniversary from the NCRS Convention. 1900 miles back to near Sacramento. As was stated earlier, it was pretty warm. I can live with that, but not the humidity. I don't know how you people in the south and east can stand it!

Anyhow, our car did great. We were there to get the 'Crossed Flags' award. It is for 84's and newer and the same as the 'Bowtie' except that you must receive the McLellan award first. This is the first year of this award, and there were 4 cars entered, an 84, two 86 conv's. and our 88. I am happy to say that all 4 were awarded the Crossed Flags. We got Dave McLellan to sign the award. The only items that we failed were tires, battery, oil filter, one wiper blade and the key knockouts (the dealer knocked them out before we got the car. She bought it new on the Forth of July.) The earlier post from the Arizona chapter with the white 88 on the lift is us.

A great show, and there were 5 396's there to be judged! A thrill to see that many, as well as the 3 Corvettes that GM brought.
