    67 BB ignition shielding

    Is their an easy trick to putting the distributor shielding on a BB 67? Thanks in advance.

    Phil,

    As far as the top piece of shielding fitting, if you follow the routing of the wires to the distributor as shown in the factory assembly manual, it will fit better.

      Phil, I have mastered this operation. I install the ignition cables on the distributor cap (but not on the plugs), place the ground wires on the posts and install the nuts. With no shielding installed it makes this operation easy. Now gather up all the ignition cables in one hand and slide the shielding down over them on to the brackets and install the wing bolts. Now just install the grommets, slip the grommets into place and connect at the plugs.
