Page down about half way, and look at the fresh-air heater hose in the picture of the Nassau/Dayton FI engine compartment posted the other day by Joe Trybulec:
Notice what appears to be 3/8" pitch, which is common to the current repros, but incorrect per the JG. This issue was discussed on this forum back in Febuary:
Seeing Joe's picture got me looking at the old b/w photos in Noland Adams books, and some do have the larger "correct" pitch (5/8" to 3/4"), but many have the smaller pitch. I then found a picture of an engine compartment on page 121 of Noland's book Corvette American Legend, Volume 5, which clearly shows the smaller pitch hose (on a 250 hp FI 1960 Corvette). The picture is dated by GM at the bottom 1-15-60, so there can be no doubt it was an old picture and not a picture of a repro.
So could it be possible that C1s came equiped with smaller (3/8") fresh-air heater hoses, in addition to the larger pitch?
By the way, someone is reproducing the larger pitch hose, and selling them on ebay for good money ($112.67 final sale price, compared to $25 for the 3/8" repo hose from Paragon or CC):
