Can someone tell me what cars crankshaft 2690 casting number came on. It was in this 67 SS 350 Camaro engine I am liquidating. My Corvette by the Numbers book Identifies crankshafts only by the output flange. It claims, according to the flange, this crankshaft was on 68 327 engines. Anyone? Thanks DG

The engine that you found it in is the only engine that it was ever originally used in. The '2690' crank is a forged crank for use with large journal 350 cid small blocks. Since, for 1967, the 350 cid engine was used only in Camaros and 1967 was the only year that this crank was used, ergo this crank was used only for the 1967 Camaro SS350.
For 1968 there were no 350 cid applications which used a forged crank, so this crank was not used for that year. For 1969 there were 350 cid applications that used a forged crank, but this crank had, apparently, "died" by then and it was not used.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
