    C 1 Weatherstripping

Does anyone know who sells soft top weatherstripping with black cloth covering?
    Thanks a lot

Nobody that I know of. Contact these guys and ask for a product called Bowdrill. It is a self sticking cloth material that you apply to you W/S. When I bought mine several years ago the part number was 70-1172-65. You'll need at least two rolls and may want to get three. Rob

        Jerry:
I've got my C-1 top at Coffman Corvette in Ohio being restored and Clint is replacing the old weatherstripping with the black cloth covered rubber. You can call them at 888-774-0220. Also visit them at www.coffmancorvette.com.
        Hope this helps. Steve

What C1 soft top parts had black cloth covered weatherstripping?

The two weatherstrip pieces across the top of the side glass, and the single piece against the angled rear of the side glass; '56-'57 had the cloth-covered weatherstrips, don't recall offhand when it stopped and went to plain rubber.

              John,
Do you know if the '53 through '55 had the cloth covered side window pieces like the '56 and '57?

                Garry -

Roy Braatz would know for sure, but I don't think the '53-'55 cars had any weatherstrips - the top of the side curtain frame just went inbetween the cloth flaps on the top. That's the way my '53 was in '59 when I made an "A" Modified Sport drag car out of it.
