C-1 57 Rear Springs

Just got a pait of #3735704 dated 76E7. The 57 JG does not mention part number but 58-60 JG says part should be 3751438. Are these springs correct for 1957? Thanks in advance

Jerry these are 1957 Corvette heavy Duty Springs. The proof is the 1957 Chevrolet Parts and Accessories Catalog, which list the 4 Leaf Heavy Duty Springs as 3735704. The standard 1957 4 leaf spring was 3711550.

Lets discuss if we should use them, or not.

Seems you have a rare set of 4 leaf Corvette springs. No one in the '57 circle recalls seeing anything but the 3711550 4 leaf springs. Dick Robinson said the 3735704 springs could have been made for a RPO's that was not released. The March '57 parts book lists part no. 3735704, but there is no price associated with it. Couldn't find 3735704 in any of the parts supplements before or after the March '57 P&A book, nor is it listed in the '58 P&A book.

If you would please, measure the thickness of each leaf, width and length and post here or send me an e-mail (gchesnut@charter.net). Would like to compare with a 3711550 spring.

Also, do each of the springs have a groove in them?
