Mako Shark I, in 1967

Looking at the pics from San Antonio, reminded me that I saw this car in Sept 1967 (?) at the Canadian Grand Prix, Mosport Park (east of Toronto). Notice the bubble top -- eat your heart out, Roy B.

At least I think it was that year (the first for a Canadian Formula I Grand Prix) based on the second link (click below the auto-load pic) of Jim Clark doing a parade lap sitting on the rear deck of a '67 Camaro; the Mako Shark led the Chevrolet contingent.

Wayne,,,, In 1966/67 I was driving from Mass. to Ohio on my to college on the New York Thruway. Somewhere across northern NY I stopped in a rest area and this car was sitting there by the rest-rooms unattended. Absolutely no one anywhere near. I spent about twenty minutes looking and waiting for someone to reappear but no one did so eventually I left. Still wonder what in heck that car was doing there that day...........Bill S
