    Bill-----

With most oil pressure problems the very first thing that you need to do is to install a test gauge and see just how accurate that your dash gauge readings are. You may find that the dash gauge is quite a bit off, especially at the lower end of the scale.

Changing the oil pump and screen is not a bad idea. However, as long as you have the pan off, you might want to check at least a few of the rod and main bearings for clearance. It's really not that hard to do. Getting the oil pan off is most of the work. Use plastigauge to check bearing clearances. This is not a really precise way to do it, but it should tell you if there is anything really out-of-spec.

      Thanks Joe

I was going to check a few rod and main bearings. Thanks for reminding me about plastigauge.
