This week-end's weather is forcasted to be in the 90's with humidity, typical of the event for Saturday, Friday is suppose to be in the mid 80's with slightly less humidity.
Advice, wear a cap or brimmed hat, the sun is strong. Bring plenty of change and if you can a cooler with ice and water, usually during the Saturday time long lines to get a soda or water.
Don't wear sandles or shoes, sneakers are still the best, a good pair of Nikes is a good investment for this event. Wear socks or you will get blisters.
Best lunch is the ham and cheese or turkey and cheese sandwiches under the grandstand...
Grandstand is often in the shade during the afternoon and normally filled up with people who just sit and talk.
If you are NOT driving a Corvette, usually between gate 1 and 3 you can get private parking for the day in somebody's yard, allows you to visit your car and dump off your purchases.
You name it they sell it.... Pace yourself and your wallet...
